The first day you will have enough time to discover “Flores” The old part of the city is located on an island on Lake Petén Itza, connected to the mainland by a short causeway. On the mainland is the suburb Santa Elena and, to the West, a contiguous municipality San Benito.

Semuc Champey is a series of limestone bridges and caves that snakes through Guatemala, tying in with the Cabahón River. When you combine the limestone and the river, you have a series of tiered pools that look like something out of a fairy tale. Semuc Champey is not an easy place to get to, it’s isolated.

- Waterfalls La Igualdad
The community of Tocache in the area of La Igualdad is tucked in the foothills of Tajumulco, Central America’s tallest volcano, and surrounded by a dense and little-explored forest that features a beautiful climate and unique local flora and fauna that make the trek to the waterfalls a mystical experience. The waterfalls themselves reach approximately 187 meters – over 600 feet – into the sky, which puts them among the tallest waterfalls not only in Guatemala but in all of Central America.
