Cascadas la Igualdad

Waterfalls La Igualdad

Guatemala’s highest waterfalls, Cataratas La Igualdad, are located within a local community La Igualdad on the slopes of the Tajumulco volcano. The journey to the falls follows a picturesque trail which is full of power and poetry from beginning to end. You certainly don’t need to be a top photographer to get some truly memorable pictures.

On a sunny day, the falls tower into a striking blue sky like shimmering crystal walls. If you’re lucky, you might even be able to enjoy this incredible natural setting in relative solitude. There is also the added extra of being able to take a relaxing dip in the nearby hot springs. The community entry fee goes towards the local community and helps to promote sustainable tourism in the area.
Whether or not you’re a nature lover, this trip is well worth the opportunity to see this unspoilt natural treasure. Book now by clicking below or please email us via the contact form with any questions.
